It's not easy being a tri-pug, but she's doing a great job adjusting. We're on a strict schedule of cold compressions and meds. The hardest part is making her rest and keeping her from doing what she normally loves to do -- jumping freely on and off the bed, sleeping on the arm-rest of the couch, running around outside.
Austin - Thanks for checking in on Kayla. She has been incredible and is adapting to her new tri-pawd stance. Annie and I are spending more energy just trying to get her to rest more than anything. She's definitely going to be spoiled for the next few weeks -- eating boiled chicken, being carried everywhere, and receiving tons of love from all her friends and fans. I used to speculate, but now am 100% sure that Kayla has more friends than I do.
She's doing amazingly great!! Far much better than a lot of the patients we have at the hospital. Anyway, it's so good to see her up and about and full of energy!
LOL she looks sadder about the cone collar than her leg. How's she acting? Does her mood seem ok?
